Well-known citrus fruits in Japan called "Mikan", these "unshiu Mikan" are all of Arida variety and are grown in terraced fields well exposed to the sun.
Their orange peel is very soft and easy to peel by hand. Its very pleasant, rich and powerful taste is long in the mouth, refreshing.There are very early, early and late varieties harvested at different seasons. The fruits are harvested from October to February.
