MD Saveurs
Born in the late 1970s in a slum in Arequipa, Peru, Miguel Dubost was adopted and grew up in France. He has, however, kept a visceral connection with his roots. It was during a trip to his country of origin that he decided to create MD Saveurs.
Miguel has always needed to give meaning and to feel useful in his professional activity. What could be better than ensuring the gastronomic bridge between Peru and France, two lands of values and traditions?
Simple and authentic like the small producers they represent, the great French chefs now call it "Monsieur Quinoa".
MD Saveurs leitmotiv is simple: to select the best native seeds for their quality and not for their yield.
MD Saveurs also makes environmental issues a priority. Their partners grow quinoa in human-sized plantations in the Western Andes, according to an ancestral tradition and according to the rhythm of the seasons. Crop rotation makes it possible to regenerate the subsoil and guarantee you optimal quality for quinoa. The growers do not use insecticides, as the altitude acts as a natural barrier against pests. MD Saveurs can thus offer you quinoa certified organic by Ecocert and USDA Organic.
